Procurement is considered as a key enabler of Corporate Transformation by Best in Class business partnering, sourcing processes optimization, cost reduction and delivering innovation. To enable it, Procurement is also in the process of it's transformation to be the Strategic Business Partner. This role is part of the AMEI hub procurement team who will be expected to have strong Strategic Sourcing and Decision making skills and most importantly must have the ability to think strategically
Missions and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for defining the category strategy based on internal present and future requirements utilizing supplier and competitor market analysis. As the Category Manager you will manage the contracts and supplier relationship for the long term whilst being accountable for the procurement performance related to your assigned portfolio.
Lead the process of defining the category strategy for assigned portfolio
Engage and negotiate with suppliers in collaboration with the Chief Procurement Officer and within the AMEI framework
Implement the sourcing strategy and contract management with the suppliers
Lead the supplier relationship management activities across assigned portfolio
Effectively communicate with the various internal Stakeholders
Conduct periodic surveys to measure internal customer feedback for continuous improvement in collaboration with the Procurement Performance Manager
Collect suggestions from suppliers to improve Air Liquide processes and develop innovations originating from suppliers
Manage the function’s continuous improvement initiatives.
Consolidate and present Category Management action plans to the management and regional teams
Competencies and Profile
Experience
5 years experience in Procurement, with specific experience in strategic sourcing as a category manager.
Previous experience from Industrial,chemicals, Heavy FMCG or Oil Field services will be preferred.
