Manager, Liquidity & ALM- Islamic Development Bank Jeddah KSA
SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE:
This role is responsible for the executing the processes of liquidity monitoring and management; Managing the assets and liabilities of ITFC through analysing, monitoring and reporting on ITFC’s Structural Balance Sheet Risks covering short-, medium- and long-term liquidity and funding risks as well as interest rate and foreign exchange risks; and Implementing the Funds Transfer Pricing to better manage the profitability of ITFC from its various business lines and activities.
SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizational Unit Responsibilities
Introducing improvement initiatives in order to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of Liquidity & ALM function.
Preparing the standing and ad-hoc reports of the Liquidity & ALM function.
Maximize the value of each counterparty’s relationship by understanding their needs and identifying opportunities for cross selling from Treasury Department’s offering.
Technical Responsibilities
Liquidity & Cash Flow Projections Management
Reviewing the short-term liquidity and cash management activities
Reviewing the maturity profiles, bank account positions/statements on a regular basis and oversee the funds movements
Review all the liquidity deals are processed daily to ensure compliance with all liquidity requirements.
Assisting in developing ITFC’s future cash movement plans and ensure availability of necessary liquidity
Coordination with other department and other entities to manage disbursements & replenishments needs.
Assisting Senior Manager in providing instructions to Treasury dealing for Investments and Borrowings
Assist in the system development & enhancements for Treasury ALM activities.
Asset-Liability Management
Contributing to Managing balance sheet, cash flow, and ensuring provision of funds for the company.
Contribute to implementing an assets and liabilities strategy (gapping) that optimizes the company’s return, in accordance with the ALCO’s guidelines/ recommendations.
Contributing to developing and recommending financial policies, capital structure, hedging policies, as well as maintenance of bank relationships.
Reviewing ongoing assessment of asset & liability mismatches and managing the implementation of required short- and medium-term financing structures.
Contributing to formulation, periodic review and dissemination of financial and the Asset and Liability Management policies and guidelines for ITFC
Funding & Leveraging Planning
Contributing to planning and execution of debt issuance to meet the long-term need.
Contributing to the development of Fund transfer pricing model framework and implementation
Assisting in making decisions on funding company operations and other financing requirement.
Contributing to management of debt capital raising strategy, origination and execution of structured finance and hedging strategies, cash management strategies.
Funds Management
Clear investments of the funds entrusted by other entities, and coordinate with the Dealing and Capital Markets to invest such funds in available instruments.
Prepare reports on fund management activities addressed to internal and external parties, including principals, profits, costs and fees entitled to ITFC.
Networking & Partnership
Participating in roadshows, conferences, workshops, seminars and market positioning activities of ITFC to promote ITFC and expand network of partnership.
Keep abreast with the latest changes, developments and opportunities in the local, regional and international banking and financial industry and markets with potential positive or negative impact on ITFC.
SECTION IV: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Bachelors Degree
Treasury-related Professional Certification is preferable (CTP, ACT, CFA, CMA, ACI Dealing/Operations)
Language Skills:
English is compulsory
Arabic or French is preferable
Years of Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience
