YOUR ROLE
Responsible for the day to day administration and maintenance of a corporate-wide Quality Management System including direct oversight of regional quality performance. Evaluate and perform complex analyses of compliance against quality standards; identify opportunities and make recommendations for improving quality and process efficiencies to ensure the company maintains a robust Quality Management System and maintains any external certifications. Support in the implementation and integration of CEVA initiatives of LEAN and other quality and operational excellence methodologies into the Freight Management and Contract Logistics division of the organization

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Support all assigned Sites in quality related matters – supply information, respond to customer inquiries, and provide knowledge, expertise and guidance.
- Train and assist field staff in quality management, effective auditing, operations excellence and quality management software.
- Make recommendations on the development and implementation of a global quality management system.
- Plan, schedule and lead corporate quality internal & external audits.
- Utilize quality management software to manage, document and administer effective value-added audits throughout assigned region.
- Prepare & present detailed audit analysis and results to the Global Quality Team, Regional Management and Executive Management for the purpose of illustrating areas of improvement.
- Maintain and update quality system documentation.
- Set up, coordinate, and evaluate risk assessments, and propose and implement practical actions to eliminate the identified risk;
- Support the roll-out of Lean to all Freight Management and Contract Logistics facilities including concept orientation and the introduction of tools and methodologies to drive business process excellence and deliver business results.
- Provide coaching and development training to employees in the application of continuous process improvement, Lean concepts and tools
- Support the company’s training and development department.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s quality policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
- Create and control all SOPs related to operations.
- Conduct periodic review of the Training material to identify process changes or revisions to the SOPs and make necessary revisions.
- Assign expiry dates for all SOPs and start conducting reviews 60 days prior to the expiry.
- Use the document management system tool to manage and control SOP versions, issues and copies.
- To check, control & approve any Work Instructions or OPL’s developed by the Site.
- To oversee process control requirements for any validated equipment used on site
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial preferred; or a combination of work experience
- Minimum three years in Quality Management or related discipline.
- Minimum three years industry experience.
- Minimum one year supervisory or managerial experience.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 standards and systems implementation experience.
- Auditing Certification preferred.
- Quality Management Certification preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex procedural requirements.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and lead corporate quality internal & external audits.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate information and understand inter-functional relationships.
- Demonstrated understanding of key transportation concepts and key performance indicators (miles, utilization, MPG, etc.).
- Knowledgeable of warehouse operations and freight/logistics optimization.
- Ability to utilize quality management software to manage, document and administer effective value-added audits.
- Ability to develop, recommend and implement a global quality management system.
- Ability to recognize inaccuracies in data.
- Ability to develop and document processes, and procedures.
- Ability to generate error-free reports.
- Familiar with project management methodologies.
- Strong written communication skills to assist with composing, editing and proofing business letters, correspondence, and reports.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, gain credibility with senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and sense of humor.
- Demonstrated leadership and effective management skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
