Holiday Inn is the first of its brand in Abu Dhabi featuring 203
modern and stylish rooms, wide variety of food & beverage outlets -
Lemon Tree - a Mediterranean Brasserie, Silk Route - all day dining
restaurant, 31st Bar and Lounge offering an epic view of the
Grand Mosque, all in addition to meeting rooms and banqueting
facilities. The hotel is a kilometer away from Abu Dhabi National
Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), very close to the diplomatic enclave. The
hotel's fitness facilities are located at the top floor, and offer great
views of the city. Besides a well equipped fitness room, there is a
pool, and three massage rooms.
At the moment we're looking for a Duty Manager to complete our
dynamic and professional Front Office team of the Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi
and to grow within the InterContinental Hotel Group.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager you are involved in all
matters affecting guest service and hotel operations to ensure guests
receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel.
It is your duty to respond to all guest needs and ensure that issues
which may arise will be dealt with promptly and followed up on.
As Duty Manager you will supervise and support the Reception, Guest
Relations & Concierge teams. In addition, you responsibility is
the checking of billing instructions and monitoring the guest credit.
You will be in charge of analyzes and approving discounts and rebates.
You are required to have a good knowledge about the emergency
procedures and will have an essential role during Emergency evacuation
procedures.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a
supervisory role in the Front Office department in a four or five star
hotel. You should have excellent English and Arabic communication
skills. Further, you are required to have very good problem solving and
good team leadership skills. A passion for guest satisfaction is
essential.
Knowledge of Opera system is of advantage.
Qualifications
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following things we're looking for:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a hotel front office department with experience in both front desk and reservations
- Minimum 1 year experience as a team leader, shift supervisor or duty manager
- Excellent customer relations, problem solving and time management skills
- Working knowledge of hotel property management systems - Opera
- Understanding of point of sales systems such as Micros
- U.A.E., or GCC experience
