About The Role:


• Providing supervision of engineering personnel.

• Assuring implementation of Kempinski policies, standards and procedures for:

Ø Effective preventive and routine maintenance.

Ø Maintenance planning and schedules.

Ø Inspections and staff supervision.

Ø POMEC labour standards and labour cost controls.

Ø Appearance and housekeeping of all engineering related spaces in the staff accommodation.

Ø Minor construction works.

• Supporting and initiating programs for the improvement of procedures and the reduction of costs.

• Preparing cost estimates for minor construction and alteration works. Supervising and controlling execution by technicians or contractors.

• Establishing and using techniques to monitor and supervise the work of subordinates, monitoring the results of delegated assignments.

• Establishing course of action to accomplish specific work schedules. Using time efficiently personally well organized.

• Using training and development resources to improve subordinates skills and abilities. Helping subordinates qualify for future opportunities.

• Giving work directions, resolves problems, prepares schedules and sets deadlines.

• Ensuring strict adherence to safety rules when undertaking maintenance and repair work.


EDUCATION:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Diploma in Civil Engineering is an advantage.

• 5 years experience in a supervisory position.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Generalized knowledge in Civil works.

• Full compliance with engineering service standard manual.

• Implementation of Life Safety and fire prevention programs.
